Job summary

Velvet Taco in Austin, TX is looking for dedicated Counter Servers to provide an excellent guest experience in a fun, fast-paced taco shop environment. Ideal candidates embody the Velvet Taco vibe, thrive on teamwork, and excel in delivering friendly service.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Food Handlers Certification/Alcoholic Beverage Service Certification (TABC/BASSET) preferred.
• Ability to lift a minimum of 25 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Enthusiastically greets every Guest with a smile and positive attitude.
• Takes Guests’ orders using the Velvet Taco steps of service.
• Ensures orders are properly rung up in the POS.
• Handles all cash, credit card and gift card transactions.
• Maintains a clean, sanitized service area.

Essential Functions

• Enthusiastically greets every Guest with a smile and positive attitude
• Take Guests’ order using the Velvet Taco steps of service
• Ensure dine-in, to-go and call-in orders are properly rung up in the POS
• Handle all cash, credit card and gift card transactions
• Check identification before serving alcohol according to state law
• Maintain a clean, sanitized service area
• Have full knowledge of all food & beverage menu items
• Maintain a driven, intense pace with good cleaning habits throughout shift
• Other functions as assigned by management
