Job summary

21c Museum Hotels seeks a friendly Busser to support the dining team by clearing, cleaning, and resetting tables between guests.

You will work closely with servers and kitchen staff to maintain a smooth service flow in a hospitality-driven environment.

Responsibilities

• Clears all dirty glasses, waste paper, napkins, plates, silverware, and bowls from the customer during the meal.
• Keeps all silverware stocked in each station.
• Retrieves clean glasses and plates from the dishwashing area and stores/restocks in the appropriate places.
• Wipes tables and seats after clearing the table and checks the floor for crumbs.
• Assists the servers/runners in any task they ask.
• Cleans and resets all tables after the guest leaves ONE AT A TIME.
• Understands role within the steps of service.
• Completes all side work as outlined in the manual.
• Reports to work on time and ready to work scheduled shifts.
• Maintains a positive, friendly attitude with co-workers & guests.
• Maintains a clean, orderly appearance in the restaurant service area.
• Assists with/executes any tasks as assigned by the supervisor.
• Follows all proper sanitation guidelines.

Job Description

Reports To: Restaurant Manager, Food & Beverage Director

General Purpose: The Busser clears used and dirty plates, glasses, etc., from the restaurant and ensures the cleanliness of tables in a timely manner. The Busser performs other duties as assigned by managers, servers, and kitchen staff.

Specific Responsibilities:

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to stand for long periods of time.
