Four Seasons Hotel Minneapolis is seeking a skilled Bartender to join our luxury team. You will serve wines, spirits, and mixed drinks with precision, while providing guests with knowledgeable recommendations and exceptional service.

Typical duties include handling payments, assisting with bar inventory, and maintaining high standards of sanitation and professionalism in a fast-paced environment. A minimum two years of bartending experience and TIPS/ServSafe certification are required.

• Minimum two years of bartending or related work.
• TIPS & ServSafe certified; ability to pour, mix, and blend a wide variety of drinks.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve a selection of wines, spirits, and cocktails from the menu according to established recipes.
• Take guest orders and verify them against lounge/server orders in the POS.
• Provide knowledgeable descriptions of drinks and ingredients to guests.
• Anticipate guest needs, upsell, and respond to concerns promptly.
• Process guest checks and payments accurately; assist with bar inventory and garnishes.

About the role

Basic Purpose: The Bartender serves guest needs by providing exceptional knowledge of wine , spirits , and mixed drinks as well as information regarding preparation methods.

What you will do

• Prepare and serve a selection of wines, spirits, and mixed drinks from the menu while ensuring proper pouring, mixing, and blending according to established recipes and established Four Seasons Standards.
• Confirm guest orders including any special needs or requests from the lounge server using the hotel's point-of-sales system; check completed orders with the guest's original order.
• Service and take orders from guests seated at the pool bar area offering interesting, and vivid descriptions of the each item's, origin, taste, and preparation methods; maintain a working knowledge of liquors, wines, beets, ports, armagnacs, eau de vies, cognacs and specialty drinks.
• Anticipate guest needs, ascertain satisfaction, and offer suggestions, and respond urgently and appropriately to guest concerns and requests.
• Properly and accurately close guest checks; process cash and credit card payments; properly settle voided checks or complimentary items.
• Serve food items in the bar area.
• Assist with bar inventory.
• Cut fruit and prepare beverage garnishments.
• Comply with Four Seasons' Category One and Category Two Work Rules and Standards of Conduct as set forth in EmPact.
• Work harmoniously and professionally with co-workers and supervisors.

• Ability to accurately process cash and credit card transactions
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including weekdays, weekends & holidays
