Job summary

HEI Hotels and Resorts is seeking a Restaurant Manager for Hyatt Regency on the Hudson in Jersey City. You will manage day-to-day restaurant and room service operations across breakfast, lunch and dinner, guiding staff and ensuring exceptional hospitality.

You will forecast budgets, monitor costs, and lead service standards while maintaining compliance with SOPs, safety, and quality expectations. This role requires strong leadership and operational know-how in a hotel setting.

Qualifications

• More than two years of post-high school education.
• Two years of full employment in a related position with this company or other organization(s).
• Hotel experience preferred.
• Requires thorough knowledge of restaurant/hotel practices and procedures.
• Supervision/ management communication skills are required.
• Knowledge of hotel operations, including marketing plans, security and safety programs, personnel and labor relations, preparation of business plans, repairs, maintenance, budget forecasting, quality assurance programs, hospitality law, and long-range planning.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day operations of the restaurant and room service for breakfast, lunch and dinner periods as directed by the Outlets Manager.
• Interview, hire, train, develop, evaluate, and discipline staff as appropriate.
• Assist with implementation of company programs and ensure compliance with SOPs and regulations.
• Forecast, monitor, and report on budgets to maximize revenue and minimize expenses.
• Respond to customer trends, needs, and problems to ensure a quality experience and future sales.
• Monitor maintenance/sanitation of outlet areas and equipment.
• Comply with attendance rules and be available to work regularly.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
