Job summary

The Big Biscuit in Lawrence, KS is seeking exceptional people to join our management team. You will oversee daily front‑of‑house and back‑of‑house operations, lead a fast‑paced team, and ensure guest satisfaction during daytime service.

We offer a daytime schedule from 6:30 to 2:30, competitive pay, and opportunities for career development. Local certifications are a plus, and we value leadership, reliability, and a strong work ethic in a high‑volume breakfast concept.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of restaurant leadership experience preferred.
• Strong communication, coaching, and conflict-resolution skills.
• Ability to lead in a fast-paced, guest-focused environment.
• Organized, reliable, and committed to operational excellence.
• Ability to work early mornings, weekends, and holidays.
• Local food handlers and ServSafe certifications is a plus!
• Weekends and holidays are required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily front-of-house and back-of-house operations.
• Execute opening and closing procedures to company standards.
• Ensure food quality, ticket times, and service flow meet brand expectations.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized restaurant environment.
• Assist with inventory management, ordering, receiving, and waste control.
• Support hiring, onboarding, training, and coaching of team members.
• Provide performance feedback and uphold company policies.
• Manage labor deployment and staffing levels.
• Resolve guest concerns promptly and professionally.
• Assist with scheduling, reporting, cash handling, and deposits.
• Monitor KPIs and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Promote a positive, team-oriented culture.

What You'll Be Doing:

Physical & Lifting Requirements

• Ability to navigate a busy dining room and kitchen safely
