Assistant Restaurant Manager

Duties

• Assist in supervising daily restaurant operations, including food preparation, serving, and overall guest experience
• Support team management by training staff, conducting interviews, and motivating team members to perform at their best
• Oversee food handling procedures to ensure compliance with food safety regulations and quality standards
• Manage cash handling processes and POS systems such as Micros POS to ensure accurate transactions
• Monitor food industry trends and implement best practices for kitchen efficiency and customer satisfaction
• Ensure adherence to health and safety standards, including food safety protocols and sanitation practices
• Collaborate with the management team to optimize restaurant performance, handle customer inquiries, and resolve issues promptly

Requirements

• Proven experience in food service, restaurant management, or hospitality roles with supervisory responsibilities
• Strong knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and kitchen operations
• Hands-on experience with POS systems like Micros POS and cash handling procedures
• Excellent leadership skills with the ability to supervise teams effectively and foster a positive work environment
• Demonstrated customer service excellence with a focus on guest satisfaction
• Familiarity with food safety standards and food handling regulations in the food industry
• Previous restaurant or hotel experience is highly desirable; barista experience is a plus
• Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail
