Assistant Manager - Restaurant

Job Summary
We are seeking an energetic and motivated Assistant Manager to join our vibrant restaurant team! Duties

• Assist the management team in overseeing daily restaurant operations, including food preparation, service flow, and staff coordination
• Supervise and train staff on food handling, customer service standards, POS systems (such as Aloha POS and Micros POS), and safety protocols
• Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene in all areas of the restaurant
• Manage inventory control processes to minimize waste and optimize stock levels for food and beverage items
• Support shift management by coordinating schedules, monitoring performance, and ensuring smooth service during busy hours
• Handle cash transactions accurately, including cash handling procedures and balancing registers at shift end
• Contribute to food production and kitchen management by assisting with cooking, food presentation, and quality control

Qualifications

• Proven experience in restaurant management or assistant manager roles within quick service or fast food restaurants
• Strong background in food preparation, cooking techniques, and food safety standards
• Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS for order processing and sales tracking
• Demonstrated supervisory experience with staff training, development, and team management skills
• Knowledge of inventory control, budgeting, and food cost management practices
• Excellent customer service skills with a focus on creating positive dining experiences
• Ability to handle multiple responsibilities efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
• Hospitality industry experience including casual dining or fine dining environments is highly desirable
