Job summary

Wendy's in Austin, TX is seeking an Assistant General Manager to lead restaurant operations, develop a strong team, and drive sales and service excellence. You will coach staff, manage schedules, control costs, and uphold quality and safety standards in a fast-paced environment.

The AGM supports the General Manager, oversees daily operations, and leads by example to maintain Wendy's fun, family atmosphere while delivering results. Eligible for benefits and advancement opportunities.

Qualifications

• Min 1 year Assistant Manager experience (high volume food service concepts preferred).
• Flexibility to work 50–55 hours per week, rotating shifts, incl weekends and holidays.
• Valid DL in good standing - access to private transportation.
• Consent to background screening.
• Able to walk and stand for long periods; lift up to 50 pounds.
• Demonstrated ability to effectively lead and manage your own team in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Under the direction of the General Manager, assist in managing restaurant daily operations.
• Oversee restaurant daily operations and maintain day-to-day financial controls.
• Create and manage staff schedules; interview, hire, train and orientate team.
• Oversee coaching, counseling and developing staff and managing team relations.
• Ensure health and safety inspections and standards are met.
