Job summary

Kalahari Resorts & Conventions is seeking an Assistant General Manager for the Double Cut Steakhouse. You will help lead daily operations, develop team members, and ensure exceptional guest experiences in a fast-paced steakhouse environment.

Partner with the General Manager to drive service standards, financial performance, and operational excellence, while cultivating a culture of respect, accountability, and care for guests and staff.

Qualifications

• Background in general food & beverage knowledge including front-of-the-house operations or assistant management.
• Restaurant experience in a full-service setting with supervisory duties.
• Preferred: 2+ years in related roles, with craft cocktails experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily restaurant operations in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
• Support the General Manager in achieving sales, service, quality, and sanitation goals.
• Fill in as interim Manager/Supervisor/Associate to maintain guest service standards.
• Coach and train staff in managerial and professional development.

Assistant General Manager – Double Cut Steakhouse

Kalahari Resorts & Conventions is seeking an Assistant General Manager – Double Cut Steakhouse. In this role, you will support the restaurant's overall success by helping to lead daily operations, developing team members, and ensuring exceptional guest experiences. This role partners closely with the General Manager to drive service standards, financial performance, and operational excellence in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.

In this role, you will support our company promise – Lead with Love by creating a culture built on respect, support, accountability, and genuine care for both guests and team members. Through hands‑on leadership, coaching, and positive encouragement, they inspire their team to deliver exceptional hospitality while fostering an environment where people feel valued, empowered, and motivated to succeed together.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure that all food and beverage products are consistently prepared and served according to the restaurant’s recipes, portioning, cooking, and serving standards.
• Achieving company objectives in sales, service, quality, the appearance of the facility, and sanitation and cleanliness through training of associates and creating a positive, productive working environment.
• Fill in where needed (as interim Manager, Supervisor, or Associate) to ensure guest service standards and efficient operations are met daily.
• Continually strive to develop, coach, and train your staff in all areas of managerial and professional development.

What We’re Looking For

• With this position, we dorequirea background of general food and beverage knowledge, involving at least 1 year of front-of-the-house operations and/or assistant management positions in a hotel or resort setting.
• Prior restaurant experience in a full‑service restaurant and supervisory experience of staff isa must.
• It’spreferred that you have at least 2 years ofdirectly relatedexperience, including experience with craft cocktails.
