Job summary

Kalahari Resorts & Conventions in Round Rock, TX is seeking an Assistant General Manager for Double Cut Steakhouse. You will help lead daily restaurant operations, drive service standards, and mentor team members to deliver exceptional guest experiences.

The role partners with the General Manager to optimize sales, quality, and throughput in a fast-paced, high-volume setting, while upholding our Lead with Love culture.

Qualifications

• Background in general food & beverage knowledge.
• 1+ year front-of-house operations or assistant management in hotel/resort setting.
• Prior restaurant experience in a full-service restaurant with supervisory experience.

Responsibilities

• Ensure all food and beverage products are prepared and served to the restaurant’s standards.
• Achieve sales, service, quality, and cleanliness objectives through staff training and a positive work environment.

Assistant General Manager – Double Cut Steakhouse

Kalahari Resorts & Conventions is seeking an Assistant General Manager – Double Cut Steakhouse. Step into Double Cut Steak House—where bold flavors, elevated dining, and unforgettable experiences come together in a steakhouse unlike any other. In this role, you will support the restaurant's overall success by helping to lead daily operations, developing team members, and ensuring exceptional guest experiences. This role partners closely with the General Manager to drive service standards, financial performance, and operational excellence in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.

Through hands-on leadership, coaching, and positive encouragement, you inspire your team to deliver exceptional hospitality while fostering an environment where people feel valued, empowered, and motivated to succeed together.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure that all food and beverage products are consistently prepared and served according to the restaurant’s recipes, portioning, cooking, and serving standards.
• Achieve company objectives in sales, service, quality, the appearance of the facility, and sanitation and cleanliness through training of associates and creating a positive, productive working environment.
• Fill in where needed (as interim Manager, Supervisor, or Associate) to ensure guest service standards and efficient operations are met daily.
• Continually strive to develop, coach, and train your staff in all areas of managerial and professional development.

What We’re Looking For

• With this position, we do require a background of general food and beverage knowledge, involving at least 1 year of front-of-the-house operations and/or assistant management positions in a hotel or resort setting.
• Prior restaurant experience in a full-service restaurant and supervisory experience of staff is a must.
• It’s preferred that you have at least 2 years of directly related experience, including experience with craft cocktails.
