Job summary

On Our Own Services in Richland, TX is seeking a diligent janitorial worker to service the Navarro County Safety Rest Area. You will clean and stock restrooms, gather and dispose of trash, and maintain floors and windows to a high standard.

The role requires reliability, English communication, and adherence to safety procedures, including Bloodborne Pathogen training; a background check will be conducted as required by contract.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Complete Bloodborne Pathogen training.
• Job requires being reliable, responsible, and dependable.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English.
• Ability to work in a safe and efficient manner
• Be able to pass a background check and screening requirements as required by contract and company standards.

Responsibilities

• Service, clean, and supply restrooms.
• Gather and empty trash.
• Clean building floors by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, or vacuuming them.
• Follow procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and power equipment, in order to prevent damage to floors and fixtures.
• Mix water and detergents or acids in containers to prepare cleaning solutions, according to specifications.
• Strip, seal, finish, and polish floors.
• Notify managers concerning the need for major repairs
• Requisition supplies and equipment needed for cleaning and maintenance duties.
• Clean windows, glass partitions, and mirrors, using soapy water or other cleaners, sponges, and squeegees.
• Clean and polish furniture and fixtures.
• Dust furniture, walls, machines, and equipment.
