Shine Cleaning Service Inc is seeking a Rest Area Attendant to maintain clean, safe, and welcoming facilities for travelers. This part-time, in-person role focuses on restroom, common area, and grounds upkeep, with attention to safety and hygiene.

You will perform cleaning tasks, restock supplies, and assist with light maintenance to ensure a positive traveler experience. Previous janitorial experience is preferred, and the role offers paid training and PTO.

Duties

• Perform thorough cleaning of restrooms, picnic areas, parking lots, and common spaces using appropriate cleaning tools and supplies
• Conduct routine janitorial tasks such as trash removal, sweeping, mopping, dusting, and disinfecting surfaces to ensure hygiene standards are met
• Maintain floors through buffing, polishing, and floor care procedures to preserve a clean and professional appearance
• Monitor facilities for maintenance issues like broken fixtures or safety hazards and report them promptly for repair
• Assist with custodial responsibilities including restocking supplies such as paper towels, soap, and toilet paper
• Support general facilities maintenance tasks including light repairs or painting as needed to keep the area in top condition
• Ensure all cleaning equipment is properly maintained and stored according to safety guidelines

Experience

• Previous janitorial or custodial experience preferred, especially in commercial or industrial cleaning environments
• Familiarity with floor care techniques such as buffing and polishing is highly desirable
• Experience with facilities maintenance or porter duties is a plus
• Knowledge of cleaning products, safety procedures, and proper use of custodial equipment is beneficial
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining high standards of cleanliness
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to creating a safe, sanitary environment for visitors
