Job summary

St. Louis Arc is seeking an ARCH Respite Coordinator to empower residents by supporting daily living skills, relationships, and community connections.

You will serve as the primary contact for referrals, guide families through eligibility and enrollment, and educate on guidelines and options to maximize respite hours. You will build partnerships with schools, healthcare providers, and community organizations, develop enrollment strategies, and monitor program utilization while ensuring

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in social work or related field.
• Three or more years of experience working with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities and/or families.
• Experience in program management, customer service, enrollment services, community outreach, case coordination, or family support services.
• Knowledge of services, systems, and resources for individuals with IDD and families.
• Strong relationship-building, networking, and customer service skills with a family-centered approach.
• Ability to engage families, community partners, and referral sources professionally and person-centered.
• Strong verbal, written, and presentation skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and database systems.
• Ability to collect, analyze, and communicate program data.
• Strong organizational and project management skills; ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary contact for ARCH Respite referrals and inquiries; conduct intake meetings and guide families through eligibility, enrollment, and onboarding.
• Educate families about respite program guidelines, options, providers, and hours.
• Build and maintain relationships with enrolled families to encourage ongoing engagement.
• Develop strategies to increase respite enrollment, participation, and utilization.
• Monitor utilization and engage families to maximize authorized respite hours.
• Collaborate with schools, healthcare providers, agencies, and referrals to raise awareness and access.
• Represent the Arc at community events and conferences to promote respite services.
• Deliver presentations and educational opportunities to families, professionals, and partners.
• Coordinate with internal departments to ensure access to resources and services.
• Respond to family questions on program requirements, vouchers, billing, and portal access.
• Maintain accurate documentation of interactions, records, and program information.
• Monitor enrollment, participation, utilization, and other program data; prepare reports.
• Ensure services comply with organizational policies and funder requirements.
