Job summary

Pathways to Community is seeking a Weekend Respite Lead 1 to support our weekend respite program for adults with developmental disabilities. You will lead community outings and provide joy, structure, and care during Saturday to Sunday sessions.

This weekend role includes supervising staff, assisting with personal care, cooking, and transporting participants to events. A valid driver's license and reliable vehicle are required, along with strong English communication and the ability to pass

Qualifications

• Carry a valid driver's license, proof of valid insurance, and daily access to a reliable vehicle.
• Strong English communication skills.
• Ability to pass DHS and nationwide background checks.
• Be able to participate in water activities (pool, waterslides, hot tub, etc.).

Responsibilities

• Providing oversight to the respite program on weekends, leading staff and providing directions.
• Assisting with personal care as needed.
• Cooking and light cleaning.
• Providing constant supervision.
• Administering medications.
• Transporting individuals to and from community events.
• This position requires flexibility for last-minute schedule changes.

In this role you will be making a difference by:

• Providing oversight to the respite program on weekends, leading staff and providing directions.


• Assisting with personal care as needed.


• Cooking and light cleaning.


• Providing constant supervision.


• Administering medications


• Transporting individuals to and from community events.


• *This position does require you to work with individuals who need help with personal cares, have behaviors, and requires you to be available for last-minuteschedule changes.

To be considered for this role you must:

• Carry a valid driver’s license, proof of valid insurance, and have daily access to a reliable vehicle.


• Hold an acceptable driving record.


• Possess strong English communication skills.


• Be able to participate in water activities (pool, waterslides, hot tub, etc.).


• Be able to pass a DHS and nationwide criminal background check.


• Previous experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities is preferred.
