Job summary

STRIVE is seeking a part-time Respite Direct Support Professional to supervise and support a child with medical needs living at home. The role includes in-home care, medication administration, and assistance with daily activities. Mileage may be required and driving is expected occasionally.

Successful background checks and a valid driver's license are required. The position offers flexible 10–20 hour weekly schedules, with compensation at $17.85 per hour and contingencies based on background

Qualifications

• 18 Years of Age (21 Years if transporting individuals)
• H.S. Diploma or GED.
• CPR/First Aid certified (required)
• Medication Administration/QMAP (if medication is to be administered)
• CPI (if behavioral challenges)
• Satisfactory background and reference checks
• Valid driver’s license and driving record meeting STRIVE standards

Responsibilities

• Overnight and waking supervision as defined by the service plan.
• Timely response to medical, behavioral, or other emergencies.
• Medication administration.
• Assistance with hygiene including bathing, dressing, grooming and toileting.
• Transportation to and from day program/work.
• Assistance with meals and snacks including meal prep, feeding, and clean-up.
• In home recreation and other leisure activities.
