Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Northern Virginia is seeking a Respiratory Therapist to provide direct patient care, oversee breathing treatments, and develop individualized care plans in a hospital setting.

Qualifications

• Current State License in Respiratory Therapy is required.
• CPR certification is required.
• ACLS certification preferred.
• Two years hospital experience in Respiratory Therapy preferred.

Responsibilities

• Providing direct care to patients in need of medical gas, breathing therapy modality, and medication.
• Guiding patients by supervising care and breathing treatments, leading patient assessments, creating personalized care plans, and targeting and resolving patient concerns.
• Building meaningful relationships with patients by dedicating time to understand their physical, mental, and emotional needs for a successful recovery.
• Celebrating patient victories along the way.

Skills

Two years hospital experience in RT

Education

Current State License in RT

CPR certification
