Job summary

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Respiratory Therapy; Bachelors preferred.
• Licensed Respiratory Care Practitioner in Virginia.
• BLS and ACLS certification required; NRP within 6 months.
• 5 years of clinical Respiratory Therapy experience; 1–2 years leadership experience.

Responsibilities

• Participates in staff selection, hiring, and orientation; supports performance management.
• Sets team priorities and coordinates with other leaders.
• Monitors departmental budget for cost-effective operations.
• Develops and enforces policies, procedures, and standards for quality care.
• Oversees scheduling and performance of patient treatments to ensure smooth operations.
• Monitors quality and safety of Respiratory Services.
• Ensures availability of equipment and supplies; covers vacancies as needed.
• Leads staff meetings and communicates safety/quality/regulatory updates.
• Maintains competency in EPIC and other information systems.
• Initiates performance improvement using PDCA cycle.
