HCA Florida Brandon Hospital is seeking a Respiratory Therapy Supervisor to lead our Respiratory Care Services and oversee shift operations in a busy acute hospital setting.

You will supervise delivery of safe patient care, ensure compliance with standards, and mentor staff while coordinating clinical modalities under physician orders.

Qualifications

• Completion of a two-year accredited respiratory care program.
• Associate Degree or equivalent; Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
• Clear/active Florida licensure: Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required upon hire.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) required within 6 months of hire.
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) required.
• Minimum of five years of experience in clinical respiratory therapy in an acute hospital environment.
• One year of supervisory experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and are responsible for the delivery of safe, quality patient care for assigned departments and staff on a daily basis.
• Ensure department's standards of practice, policies and procedures meet legal and accrediting and regulatory agency requirements.
• Conduct respiratory assessments of patients as indicated within scope of practice.
• Administer medications and perform various clinical modalities as prescribed by physicians.

Job Summary and Qualifications

Our Respiratory department is a committed, caring group of colleagues. We are currently seeking a Supervisor of Respiratory Therapy and will provide you the tools and resources you need to succeed in our organization. As a Supervisor on our Respiratory team, you will provide supervision for all aspects of Respiratory Care Services and will be responsible for shift operations of the department.
