HCA Florida Brandon Hospital is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) to evaluate respiratory needs and develop care plans for patients. You will operate acute care ventilators, work without full supervision when needed, and ensure accurate documentation in the hospital system.

Requirements include Florida RRT licensure, BLS, and ACLS/PALS/NRP within 6 months of hire. A CoARC-accredited respiratory care program graduate is preferred.

Job Summary and Qualifications

We are currently looking for an ambitious Registered Respiratory Therapist to help us reach our goals. As a Respiratory Therapist (RRT) on our team, you will evaluate the respiratory needs of and develop and implement the Respiratory Care Plan for your patients. Your duties and responsibilities may include:

• You will be responsible for the application and operation of acute care ventilators used for continuous short and long-term mechanical ventilation

• You must be self-directed in the absence of the full-time Team Leader

• You will maintain all department and hospital records and enter accurate information into the hospital computer for the therapy as given

• You will perform your procedures with care and empathy for our patients

Requirements:

• Current Florida Registered Respiratory Therapist licensure

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; ACLS, PALS and NRP within 6 months of hire

• Graduate of Respiratory Care program accredited by the Committee on Accreditation for Respiratory Care (CoARC)

• Frequent standing, bending, reaching, squatting, kneeling and moving equipment

• Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision

• Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate actions in volatile situations

• Customer service abilities including effective listening skills
