Job summary

Singing River Health System is seeking a Respiratory Therapy Student Technician Level 2 to provide basic respiratory care under supervision. The role supports Respiratory Therapists and cares for patients during shifts from 7AM to 7PM at Singing River Gulfport, Ocean Springs, and Pascagoula hospitals.

Qualifications

• Must be a second-year RCP student or an unlicensed new graduate from an accredited program.
• Must complete and maintain BCLS certification upon hire and/or transfer.

Responsibilities

• Set-up and monitoring of low-flow oxygen (≤ 6 LPM)
• Non-exotic aerosol therapy (bronchodilators, anticholinergics, etc.)
• Hyperinflation and airway clearance therapy
• Equipment cleaning, stocking, transporting, etc.
• May assist in cardiorespiratory arrests when certified in Basic Life Support
