Job summary

A healthcare provider is seeking a Respiratory Therapy Student to assist respiratory therapists in patient care. Responsibilities include delivering routine therapy, monitoring patient conditions, and educating patients and families. Candidates must have State Board of Respiratory Care certification as a student and a Basic Life Support certification within one month of hire. Preference is given to those with ACLS, PALS, and NRP certifications. This position offers varied hours and significant opportunities for professional development.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Manage respiratory care supplies and equipment storage.
• Maintains storage areas with required supply levels and equipment.

Position Summary

• Delivers routine therapy as delegated by a therapist.
• Assesses patient condition and delivers appropriate treatment.
• Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition.
• Educates the patient and family about the patient's illness and provides information about community support groups and other resources.
• Monitors, receives, stocks, and distributes respiratory care supplies and medical gas cylinders.
• Maintains storage areas with required supply levels and equipment.

• State Board of Respiratory Care (Student)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required one month from hire date
