Job summary

Lexington Regional Health Center is seeking a Respiratory Therapist to assess and treat patients with cardiopulmonary conditions. You will administer therapies, perform diagnostic tests, and educate patients under physician supervision within the Respiratory Therapy department.

The role requires proper licensing, BLS certification, and meticulous documentation. You will work with diverse age groups and support infection control and patient safety initiatives.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Respiratory Care from an accredited program.
• Current Nebraska RT license.
• BLS certification from American Heart Association.
• Attention to detail and ability to maintain confidentiality.
• Ability to document procedures accurately.

Responsibilities

• Assess and administer respiratory therapies per prescription or approved protocol.
• Perform diagnostic testing (EKG, PFTs, ABG) as ordered.
• Educate patients and families about lung diseases and care.
• Document procedures thoroughly and accurately.
• Operate BIPAP/CPAP machines, ventilators and oxygen equipment.
• Work with patients across all age groups.
