Job summary

Lexington Regional Health Center seeks a Respiratory Therapist to assess and administer respiratory services under physician supervision in the Respiratory Therapy department. The role involves providing nebulizer treatments, oxygen therapy, inhaled meds, and ventilation support.

You will perform diagnostic tests (PFTs, ABG, EKGs), educate patients and families about lung diseases, document thoroughly, and work with patients of all ages. Licensure as RT in Nebraska and BLS are required.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Respiratory Care from an accredited program.
• Nebraska RT licensure and BLS certification required.
• Knowledge of respiratory care therapies and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Assess and administer respiratory services per prescription or protocol.
• Deliver nebulizer treatments, oxygen therapy, inhaled meds and related therapies.
• Perform diagnostic testing (EKG, PFT, ABG, etc.) and document findings.
• Educate patients and families about lung diseases and treatments.
• Document procedures accurately and maintain charting.
• Work with patients of all ages and respond to emergencies promptly.
• Ensure infection control and patient safety in the care environment.
