Job summary

Indiana Fitness Works at The Belmont in Columbus, Indiana, seeks a Respiratory Therapist (RN/LPN considered) to provide respiratory care to residents in a long-term care setting, with emphasis on geriatrics. On-site training available.

This full-time role features 12-hour shifts with rotating weekends and a weekend bonus. Responsibilities include patient assessments, administering therapies, monitoring vital signs, and educating residents and families. Equal opportunity employer.

Qualifications

• Certified respiratory therapist credentials (RRT/CRT/RCP) or RN/LPN acceptable.
• Current Indiana Respiratory Therapist license preferred.
• Basic life support certification required.

Responsibilities

• Perform patient assessments and develop individualized care plans.
• Administer and document respiratory treatments as prescribed by physicians.
• Monitor and record vital signs including oxygen saturation and heart rate.
• Educate patients and families on respiratory care techniques and disease management.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive resident care.
• Respond to emergencies and provide basic life support as needed.

We are seeking a highly skilled Respiratory Therapist and Nurses to join our Respiratory Therapy Department. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing respiratory care to residents in a long term care setting, with a focus on geriatrics. This position will be atThe Belmont in Columbus, Indiana.

Previous ventilator and Tracheostomy experience is a plus, but NOT required. We are happy to train you on site!

• Perform patient assessments and develop individualized care plans
• Administer and documentation of respiratory treatments as prescribed by physicians
• Monitor and record vital signs, such as oxygen saturation levels and heart rate
• Educate patients and their families on respiratory care techniques and disease management
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive resident care
• Respond to emergency situations and provide basic life support as needed

Requirements

• Certified RRT, CRT, RCP, RN or LPN
• Current Indiana Respiratory Therapist license preferred
• Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology
• Basic life support certification required
