Job summary

Indiana Fitness Works Inc. in Alexandria, IN, seeks a Respiratory Therapist or Nurse to join the Respiratory Therapy Department in a long-term care setting with a geriatrics focus. The successful candidate will provide respiratory care to residents and may train on site.

Responsibilities include patient assessments, administering treatments, monitoring vitals, and educating families. This role is part-time or PRN with 12-hour shifts and weekend rotation bonuses.

Qualifications

• Certified in respiratory therapy or nursing per state requirements.
• Current Indiana Respiratory Therapist license preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.

Responsibilities

• Perform patient assessments and develop individualized care plans.
• Administer and document respiratory treatments as prescribed by physicians.
• Monitor and record vital signs such as oxygen saturation and heart rate.
• Educate patients and families on respiratory care techniques and disease management.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive resident care.
• Respond to emergencies and provide basic life support as needed.

Job description

We are seeking a highly skilled Respiratory Therapist and Nurses to join our Respiratory Therapy Department. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing respiratory care to residents in a long term care setting, with a focus on geriatrics. This position will be atAlexandria Care Center in Alexandria, IN.

Previous ventilator and Tracheostomy experience is a plus, but NOT required. We are happy to train you on site!

Responsibilities:

• Perform patient assessments and develop individualized care plans
• Administer and documentation of respiratory treatments as prescribed by physicians
• Monitor and record vital signs, such as oxygen saturation levels and heart rate
• Educate patients and their families on respiratory care techniques and disease management
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive resident care
• Respond to emergency situations and provide basic life support as needed.

Requirements:

• Certified RRT, CRT, RCP, RN or LPN
• Current Indiana Respiratory Therapist license preferred
• Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology
• Basic life support certification required
