Job summary

Indiana Fitness Works seeks a skilled Respiratory Therapist to join the Respiratory Therapy Department at Alexandria Care Center in Alexandria, IN. The role focuses on geriatric residents in a long-term care setting, with on-site training available.

Part-time or PRN, the position features 12-hour shifts and rotating weekends, with a weekend bonus and a competitive salary based on experience. Prior ventilator experience is a plus but not required; on-site training is provided to support

Qualifications

• Certified respiratory therapy credentials: RRT/CRT/RCP or RN/LPN considered.
• Indiana Respiratory Therapist license preferred.
• Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.

Responsibilities

• Perform patient assessments and develop individualized care plans
• Administer and documentation of respiratory treatments as prescribed by physicians
• Monitor and record vital signs, such as oxygen saturation levels and heart rate
• Educate patients and their families on respiratory care techniques and disease management
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive resident care
• Respond to emergency situations and provide basic life support as needed.

Job description

We are seeking a highly skilled Respiratory Therapist and Nurses to join our Respiratory Therapy Department. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing respiratory care to residents in a long term care setting, with a focus on geriatrics. This position will be at Alexandria Care Center in Alexandria, IN.

Previous ventilator and Tracheostomy experience is a plus, but NOT required. We are happy to train you on site!
