Job summary

Indiana Fitness Works in Alexandria, IN is seeking a Respiratory Therapist to join the Respiratory Therapy Department at Alexandria Care Center, focusing on geriatric respiratory care in a long-term care setting. On-site training is available.

Responsibilities include patient assessments, administering prescribed treatments, monitoring vitals, educating patients and families, and collaborating with the care team.

Qualifications

• Certified RRT, CRT, RCP, RN or LPN
• Current Indiana Respiratory Therapist license preferred
• Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology
• Basic life support certification required

Responsibilities

• Perform patient assessments and develop individualized care plans
• Administer and document respiratory treatments as prescribed by physicians
• Monitor and record vital signs such as oxygen saturation and heart rate
• Educate patients and their families on respiratory care techniques and disease management
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive resident care
• Respond to emergency situations and provide basic life support as needed

Job description

We are seeking a highly skilled Respiratory Therapist and Nurses to join our Respiratory Therapy Department. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing respiratory care to residents in a long term care setting, with a focus on geriatrics. This position will be at Alexandria Care Center in Alexandria, IN.

Previous ventilator and Tracheostomy experience is a plus, but NOT required. We are happy to train you on site!

• Administer and documentation of respiratory treatments as prescribed by physicians
• Monitor and record vital signs, such as oxygen saturation levels and heart rate
• Educate patients and their families on respiratory care techniques and disease management
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive resident care
• Respond to emergency situations and provide basic life support as needed.

Requirements

• Certified RRT, CRT, RCP, RN or LPN
• Current Indiana Respiratory Therapist license preferred
• Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology
• Basic life support certification required

This position is for a Part Time or PRN position, 12 hour shifts, and rotating weekends. Weekend bonus available.
