Qualifications

• Master's Degree in Respiratory Care or related field.
• Bachelor's Degree required.
• High School Diploma required.

Responsibilities

• Provides effective leadership to the department.
• Serves as a resource and technical expert to staff, physicians, and other health care personnel.
• Directs the activities of staff and coordinates management responsibilities.
• Identifies opportunities for new or enhanced services and leads performance improvement efforts.
• Communicates the department's role in achieving organizational goals.
• Manages the operational budget and departmental funds.
• Applies financial concepts to support department objectives.
• Manages staffing, supplies, and equipment, including recalls.
• Develops and executes policies, protocols, and procedures to enhance patient care.
• Ensures compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, CMS, and Joint Commission standards.
• Manages EHR enhancements and serves as IT liaison for electronic systems.
• Fulfills call duties and demonstrates competencies for the assigned unit.
• Other duties may be assigned.
