Job summary

The Respiratory Therapy Master Trainer at Bell Hospital will design and continually improve training programs for respiratory care, applying Training Within Industry and Job Instruction methods to develop staff competency and leadership skills.

You will partner with department leaders to implement training plans, audit program effectiveness, and ensure high standards of patient care through effective education and documentation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Respiratory Care or related field.
• 5+ years experience in critical care and/or leadership.
• Master's degree preferred in Business or health profession.
• ACLS certification, Licensed Respiratory Therapist (RT), NBRC Registered Respiratory Therapist, Job Instruction Certification.
• Membership in professional associations such as AARC is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develops and continually improves Respiratory Therapy training programs applying TWI, JI, and Lean principles and techniques.
• Establishes and documents opportunities for Respiratory Therapy training and process improvement.
• Performs train the trainer education to Respiratory Therapy management and leadership.
• Participates in the improvement process with stakeholders and Respiratory Therapy leaders.
• Sets criteria and evaluates manager's performance on training staff and using the TWI/JI methods established.
• Establishes system for maintaining and improving training program and documentation.
• Performs audit to ensure training is effective and standards are being held.
• Establishes a system for leadership development with stakeholders and Respiratory Therapy leaders.
• Serves as a resource and technical expert to Respiratory Therapy staff, physicians, and other health care personnel.
• Oversees orientation, student management, and other health system training(s), as needed.
