TriStar Centennial Medical Center is seeking a Respiratory Therapy Educator to plan, develop, and implement educational programming for employees within the department.

The Educator will apply innovative teaching strategies and ensure cost-effective, well-executed clinical education across settings. The role requires clinical expertise and leadership to support policy review and Joint Commission readiness.

Qualifications

• TN licensure RRT/RCP and NBRC credential required.
• 3 years of relevant health care experience.
• Preferred: Bachelor's degree in Respiratory Therapy or Education.
• Preferred: ACCS and NRP certifications.
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certificates within 30 days.
• Extensive knowledge of respiratory therapy and related regulations.
• Effective oral and written communication skills and leadership abilities.

Responsabilités

• Manages and oversees formal/informal education processes and programs.
• Identifies and establishes clinical learning opportunities for staff and professionals.
• Oversees the education and orientation processes for department staff.
• Determines the type of educational activities required for new procedures or equipment.
• Coordinates the evaluation of equipment for the department.
• Supports outreach and health promotion initiatives with community agencies.
• Develops, implements, and evaluates comprehensive patient education programs.
• Suggests curriculum revisions reflecting changes in current respiratory care practice.
• Coordinates departmental N95 fitting.
• Performs staff RT duties during staffing shortages if necessary.
