Job summary

Select Specialty Hospital - Erie, part of Select Medical, is hiring a Respiratory Therapy Manager in Erie, PA. The role leads the respiratory therapy department, drives clinical excellence, and ensures regulatory compliance while managing staff, schedules, and costs.

You will collaborate with the Chief Nursing Officer to uphold standards of care, mentor staff, and participate in weaning patients from mechanical ventilation within the pulmonary team.

Qualifications

• RRT credential by NBRC required.
• Active BLS certification required by start date.
• ACLS certification required within 6 months of employment.

Responsibilities

• Overseeing the daily operations of the respiratory therapy department, to include staffing, interviews, orientation, performance evaluations and training.
• Ensuring regulatory compliance and standards of care across respiratory therapy.
• Developing and monitoring cost controls, staffing schedules and equipment management.
• Coordinating Wean Team/Pulmonary Rounds with pulmonary physicians and implementing site-specific protocols as needed.
• Lead staff development and quality improvement initiatives and provide education to patients, families and staff.
