Job summary

Banner Health's Torrington Community Hospital is seeking a Manager for Respiratory Therapy to lead and grow the respiratory care program. You will supervise two therapists, ensure compliance with Joint Commission standards, and drive quality and safety across units including Med/Surg, ED and outpatient procedures.

The role combines operational leadership with clinical oversight, budget responsibility and cross‑department collaboration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• NBRC Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification.
• RRT required for new hires after Oct 1, 2015; must have by Oct 1, 2017 if already in role.
• Current state license; valid driver's license for Home Care setting.
• BLS certification; strong leadership and cross‑department collaboration.
• Extensive knowledge of hospital operations and staff procedures.

Responsibilities

• Plans and provides operational, financial, managerial and clinical support.
• Supervises employees; participates in hiring, orientation and scheduling.
• Leads respiratory care and sleep medicine services; supports quality improvement.
• Develops budgets and monitors financial performance; drives department goals.
• Represents department across nursing, medical staff and external partners.
