Job summary

Ascension's Derby, KS respiratory therapy team is hiring a Respiratory Therapist for the Day Shift, full-time. You will drive clinical excellence, collaborate with physicians and families, and lead staff toward superior patient outcomes.

Required credentials include BLS within 30 days, NBRC Registered, and Respiratory Care Practitioner licensure; Neonatal Resuscitation and PALS are a plus. Leadership experience is preferred as we foster growth and excellence.

Qualifications

• BLS Provider credential within 30 days of hire, accepted by AHA or ARC.
• Respiratory Care Practitioner credential before hire date.
• NBRC Registered credential before hire date.
• Preferred Neonatal Resuscitation certification; PALS optional.

Responsibilities

• Set department goals to elevate patient care standards and align with system vision.
• Coordinate patient journeys with multidisciplinary teams for optimal outcomes.
• Mentor clinical staff through performance management and scheduling.
• Manage budgets, vendor partnerships, and regulatory standards to ensure safe care.
