Gem City Healthcare and Rehabilitation in Dayton, Ohio is seeking an experienced Respiratory Therapist Manager to lead and coordinate our respiratory care program. You will oversee services, support clinical staff, manage equipment and supplies, and ensure high-quality, resident-centered respiratory care within a collaborative interdisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved/accredited respiratory care program.
• CRT or RRT credential required.
• Ohio license required.
• Current CPR certification required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day respiratory therapy services.
• Assess residents for respiratory needs and provide appropriate interventions.
• Provide respiratory treatments and services within the Respiratory Care Practitioner scope of practice.
• Assess oxygen saturation and utilize pulse oximetry.
• Assess and provide care for ventilator-dependent residents.
• Perform ventilator checks and respiratory treatments on schedule.
• Evaluate residents for ventilator weaning and decannulation.
• Communicate respiratory care recommendations to physicians, nursing staff, residents, families, and care team.
• Ensure orders, treatments, and communications are documented.
• Oversee equipment, supplies, and inventory.
• Identify and report equipment or operational concerns.
• Support regulatory and compliance requirements.
