Job summary

Pima Medical Institute in Renton, WA is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) to join as a Respiratory Therapy Instructor. You will deliver lectures, lead labs, and assess students across semesters, helping prepare for licensure exams and maintaining strong retention and success rates.

The role requires an RRT, WA license, an associate degree or higher in Respiratory Therapy, and at least three years of clinical experience.

Qualifications

• Associate degree from a CoARC-accredited Respiratory Therapy program recognized by USDE or CHEA.
• Minimum of four years of job-related training and clinical experience in Respiratory Therapy for non-graduates.
• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential issued by NBRC.
• Active Washington Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license.
• Minimum of three years of practical clinical experience in a hospital/acute-care setting.
• Excellent verbal and written communication; proficient in MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Deliver lectures and supervise hands-on lab demonstrations aligned with CoARC curriculum standards.
• Evaluate student performance, administer assessments, and grade coursework.
• Advise students on Respiratory Therapy coursework and clinical techniques.
• Track attendance and coordinate academic support to maintain 80%+ student success.
• Prepare weekly attendance reports and update transcripts in CampusNexus.
• Arrange guest speakers, field trips, and clinical site visits; assist with externship coordination.
