Job summary

Ivy Tech Community College seeks a full-time Respiratory Therapy instructor to deliver courses using current pedagogy and technology. You will develop curriculum, maintain records, and support student success within the program's outcomes.

The role requires an RRT, Indiana RTP license, and at least four years of direct Respiratory Therapy experience, with responsibilities spanning instruction, advising, and program support.

Qualifications

• Possesses an earned baccalaureate or higher degree from a regionally accredited institution.
• Completed academic preparation appropriate to the program; and
• Is a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT); and
• Is an Indiana-licensed Respiratory Therapy Practitioner (RTP); and
• Has four years direct experience in Respiratory Therapy

Responsibilities

• Deliver classes using pedagogy and technology to support student learning.
• Develop and maintain curriculum and supporting materials aligned with outcomes.
• Maintain student records, attendance, and grades as required.
• Manage a classroom environment in adherence to standards.
• Facilitate student achievement of program learning outcomes.
• Use Learning Management System (Ivy Learn/Canvas) to support teaching and communication.
• Provide academic coaching and monitor student progress.
• Promote recruitment, retention, and completion initiatives.
• Participate in professional development and college service activities.
