Job summary

Middle Georgia State University is seeking an experienced Respiratory Therapist and educator to serve as Faculty in the Department of Respiratory Therapy (RESP). The faculty position will be responsible for didactic, laboratory and clinical instruction, working collaboratively with the Chair, as well as other faculty.

Position will contribute to maintaining program accreditation. This position includes functions related to teaching undergraduate level courses; advising undergraduate students;

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT).
• 3 years in clinical critical care and 1 year of teaching/clinical instruction.
• Current RRT credential and Georgia RCP license (or ability to obtain).
• Doctoral degree and NBRC credentials preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide didactic courses and clinical labs instruction.
• Maintain in-depth knowledge and participate in professional development.
• Attend department, school and university committee meetings.
• Be technologically literate with modern teaching tools and distance learning.
• Advise students and assist with recruitment and outreach activities.
• Develop syllabi, course outlines, and assessment methods.
