Qualifications

• AAS or AS in Respiratory Therapy is required; BS preferred.
• Four years of full-time, in-field experience as an RRT is required.
• Active RRT credential and CA Respiratory Care Practitioner license are required.
• Meet program-specific faculty standards and credentialing requirements.
• Demonstrated subject-matter expertise for Respiratory Therapy instruction.

Responsibilities

• Organize and deliver Respiratory Therapy course objectives and content.
• Maintain a safe, professional learning environment in labs and classrooms.
• Utilize instructional equipment and lab resources, including ventilators and simulators.
• Keep curriculum current with practice standards and technologies.
• Deliver theory and lab instruction across respiratory topics (anatomy, physiology, patient assessment, therapy methods).
• Provide timely feedback and assess student competency through exams and labs.
• Communicate progress to program leadership and participate in remediation plans.
