Job summary

Meadow Wind in Massillon, Ohio, is seeking a Respiratory Therapy Director (RTD) to lead our respiratory care team. Join a Great Place to Work recognized team where clinical expertise, leadership, and dedication to residents are valued.

You will oversee daily respiratory care services, mentor staff, coordinate scheduling, and collaborate with providers and nursing leadership to meet residents' respiratory needs. Strong leadership and Ohio license are required.

Qualifications

• Active Ohio Respiratory Care Professional license.
• CRT or RRT credential.
• Experience with ventilator management and tracheostomy care.
• Strong leadership, clinical assessment, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily respiratory care services and support quality, resident-centered care.
• Lead, mentor, and support respiratory therapy staff.
• Coordinate department staffing, scheduling, and coverage.
• Collaborate with providers, nursing leadership, and care team on residents’ respiratory needs.
• Oversee ventilator management and tracheostomy care.
• Monitor documentation, equipment readiness, and infection prevention practices.
• Support staff education and new employee orientation.
• Participate in quality improvement and ensure compliance with policies.
• Communicate with residents and families with compassion and professionalism.
