Job summary

Summa Health is seeking a Respiratory Therapy Assistant Student for the Akron City campus. This PRN/As Needed position supports the respiratory care team while completing required AMA-approved program competencies.

The role requires active enrollment in an AMA-approved Respiratory Therapist Program in good standing, Ohio license under supervision, and current BLS. You will work within a multi-skilled team, delivering patient-centered care at Summa Health.

Qualifications

• Student in good standing in an AMA approved Respiratory Therapist Program.
• Current Ohio license to practice Respiratory Care under supervision (limited permit).
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Current list of AMA-approved competencies from AMA approved therapist (RRT) program.

Responsibilities

• Administers respiratory care therapies and services after competency verification.
• Completes department-specific orientation and follows policy responsibilities.
• Works under supervision with a focus on patient care and safety.
