Job summary

Summa Health System is seeking a PRN Respiratory Therapist at the Akron City campus. You will administer respiratory care therapies after completing AMA approved RRT program competencies and initial department orientation, performing only those responsibilities defined by policy.

The role requires current Ohio licensure under supervision, BLS, and AMA-approved competencies, with a focus on teamwork, patient communication and time management.

Qualifications

• Student in good standing in an AMA approved Respiratory Therapist Program.
• Ohio license to practice Respiratory Care under supervision (limited permit) per ORCB.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Current AMA approved therapist (RRT) competencies list.

Responsibilities

• Administers selected respiratory care therapies and services after orientation.
• Performs only responsibilities identified in department policy (Levels and Procedure Responsibilities of Personnel).
