Qualifikationen

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Certificate of completion from an accredited respiratory therapist program.
• Licensed Respiratory Therapist (LIC-RT) in NY State.
• Registered Respiratory Therapist (CER-RRT) NBRC.
• Advanced or Basic Life Support certification.
• Minimum 2 years of experience.

Aufgaben

• Performs comprehensive respiratory assessment.
• Utilizes assessment data to determine patient’s problems.
• Performs bedside pulmonary function studies as ordered.
• Collaborates with physicians on plan of care.
• Evaluates patient responses to respiratory care.
• Delivers patient education on respiratory therapy.
• Completes departmental paperwork and assists with inventory.
• Provides chest therapy and airway clearance as needed.
