Qualifications

• Associate's degree or equivalent required.
• Licensed Respiratory Therapist in New York State required.

Responsibilities

• Administers respiratory therapy as prescribed by a physician.
• Operates and maintains respiratory equipment and guides new staff.
• Initiates and monitors therapy and ventilation per orders and guidelines.
• Records treatment and patient response in medical charts.
• Transports gases and sets up regulators as needed.
• Responds to emergencies and assists with resuscitation and airway management.
• Ensures proper restocking of emergency supplies and participates in patient transports.
• Performs suctioning and pulmonary function measurements as required.
