Job summary

Mercyhealth is seeking a Respiratory Therapist to provide care for patients with breathing disorders. You will manage ventilators, deliver therapies, monitor patient responses, and document treatment plans.

The role requires careful assessment, adherence to protocols, and collaboration with the care team. This full‑time night shift position involves on‑site work in Illinois, with opportunities to educate patients and families about therapies, equipment use, and safety protocols while maintaining

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Care Program.

Responsibilities

• Initiate, monitor, evaluate, and wean invasive and non-invasive ventilation.
• Titrate oxygen and administer medications per protocol and physician orders.
• Document patient care and interventions in the electronic medical record and bedside charts.
• Respond to emergencies and assist with resuscitation using ACLS guidelines.
• Transport and provide care to adult and pediatric patients as assigned.
