Job summary

ScionHealth is seeking a Respiratory Therapist for Kindred Hospital Aurora to provide comprehensive respiratory care in a long-term acute care setting. The role includes ventilator management, airway procedures, ABG analysis, and patient education in a private-room hospital environment.

The position requires a licensed respiratory care practitioner, ACLS/BCLS certifications, and a commitment to high-quality patient care and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Postsecondary respiratory therapy program required.
• Associate’s degree in respiratory therapy accepted.
• RCP license required upon hire.
• ACLS and BCLS certifications required upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Deliver respiratory care procedures per policies and protocols.
• Document and charge capture for procedures and plan of care.
• Verify physician orders and manage ventilation devices.
• Perform airway management, suctioning, and CPR as needed.
• Assist with bronchoscopy procedures and decannulation assessments.
• Conduct ABG sampling, analysis, and quality control.
• Educate patients and families; provide handoff reports.
