Job summary

CHI St. Alexius Health in Bismarck, ND is seeking a Respiratory Therapist to provide and coordinate high-quality respiratory therapy under physician orders to promote patient health and recovery. You will perform therapies, diagnostics, and family education across age groups.

Responsibilities include ventilatory support, oxygen therapy, arterial/venous sampling for POC tests, and developing individualized care plans. A $30,000 sign-on bonus is available to eligible candidates.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited/AMA certified School of Respiratory Therapy.
• Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Respiratory Therapy preferred.
• Licensed with the North Dakota State Board of Respiratory Care.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide and coordinate respiratory therapy under physician order to promote patient health and recovery.
• Perform respiratory therapies: aerosol, bronchial hygiene, oxygen, ventilation support, diagnostics, education.
• Draw and report arterial/venous/capillary samples for Point of Care testing.
• Develop care plans and therapeutic goals for patients across age groups.
• Educate patients and families on home respiratory equipment and ensure safety.
