Job summary

Qualifications

• Graduate of AMA approved School of Respiratory Care.
• Licensed by State Board (Medicine or Osteopathic).
• BLS certification.
• Associate's degree required.
• Registered or NBRC registration within 2 years of hire.

Responsibilities

• Interacts with co-workers and staff in line with Jefferson values.
• Administers prescribed respiratory therapy including oxygen, meds, PFTs, ABGs, and ventilation.
• Performs invasive and non-invasive evaluations to determine care needs and recommends actions.
• Monitors patients on ventilation including rounds, weaning, airway care, and testing.
• Collects specimens and measures lung capacity for diagnostic purposes.
• Communicates results and recommendations to the care team.
• Ensures PFT/ABG lab operations run smoothly.
