Qualifications

• NBRC credential or equivalent is expected.
• BLS certification is required.
• Graduate from an AMA approved School of Respiratory Care and hold an associate's degree.

Responsibilities

• Administers prescribed respiratory therapy including oxygen, medications, PFTs, ABGs, and ventilation.
• Performs evaluation procedures to determine care needs and recommends plans.
• Monitors patients on mechanical ventilation and adjusts care per protocol to ensure safety and progress.
• Communicates with the health care team to ensure continuity of care.
• Ensures PFT/ABG lab operations run smoothly and complies with standards.
