Job summary

Kindred Hospital New Jersey - Rahway is a 34-bed long-term acute care facility where you provide safe respiratory care as ordered, monitor ventilation, assess patients, and collaborate with the care team to support extended recovery.

The role includes documenting care, managing oxygen and airway devices, assisting in bronchoscopy, weaning, and teaching patients and families. A strong English fluency, BLS/ACLS, NBRC credentials, and license are required.

Qualifications

• Respiratory therapy education and NBRC credentialing required.
• Current respiratory therapy license and CRT/RRT credential required.
• BLS and ACLS certifications required.
• 1 year experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver respiratory care per physician orders across hospital.
• Monitor mechanical ventilation and ABG sampling/analysis.
• Document care and ensure accurate charge capture.
• Verify physician orders and assist airway management (oral/nasal airways, intubation support).
• Assist in bronchoscopy procedures and tracheostomy care.
• Support early mobility program and patient rounds.
