Job summary

The Laurels of Chagrin Falls is seeking a Respiratory Therapist to provide and coordinate respiratory care for residents in a long-term care setting in Ohio. You will perform assessments, treatments, and equipment management in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team.

Requirements include graduation from a two-year respiratory program, state licensure, and CPR certification. Benefits include competitive pay, insurance, retirement, and tuition/student loan reimbursement.

Qualifications

• Must be a certified Respiratory Therapist.
• Licensed in the state.
• Completion of a two-year accredited Respiratory Program.
• Current CPR certification or CPR within 90 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate respiratory therapy treatments for residents per physician orders and standards of practice.
• Administer oxygen therapy, aerosolized medications, chest physiotherapy, suctioning, and other modalities.
• Monitor residents’ cardiopulmonary status including vitals, labs, and imaging results.
• Set up and manage respiratory equipment (oxygen concentrators, BiPAP, CPAP, nebulizers).
• Educate residents and families on disease management and equipment use.
• Respond to respiratory emergencies and document all assessments and treatments.
• Maintain infection control and equipment cleanliness.

Education

Two-year accredited Respiratory Therapist program

RRT Certification

State license to practice

CPR certification (current or within 90 days)
